HARDSTYLE KICK FL STUDIO | How to Make a Hardstyle Kick in FL Studio (Stock Plugins ONLY) | Tail

In this lesson you’ll learn how to make a hardstyle kick with FL Studio stock plugins ONLY. Bear in mind that this is the hardstyle kick TAIL part.

I encourage you to watch the video and learn how the entire hardstyle kick “chain” is build. But I also want to take away the following belief…

Hardstyle kick with FL Studio plugins

When you follow the bigger names in the hardstyle industry or many other YouTube “gurus”, you’ve probably heard them say you need to have Logic to make a hardstyle kick. Logic has this clip distortion plugin which many see as the magic ingredient.

I definitely agree that it’s great for making kicks, but I don’t agree with the overall statement. You can make great hardstyle kicks with about any D.A.W. or plugin.

But that comes with a caveat: you have to know how.

Why Logic is the standard for making hardstyle kicks

In short: hardstyle kicks are mostly created on the mixer with different effects, like distortions and equalizers. This way you build a chain of effects. When you practice a lot and build chains a certain way, the method becomes part of who you are and things become intuitive.

This is what happened with many hardstyle producers and “gurus”. They’re very good using their method with great results. Many learned from one another and they now swear by their methods. If something works great, it’s subjectively the “right” way or “best” way. Or is it?

The new standard for making hardstyle kicks

But what if you’d develop another method? A different chain? Get a different intuitive part of making hardstyle kicks? You can easily end up with a great chain in FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton, or any other D.A.W. Just as long as you figure out how to get it right.

And this is why a different perspective can help you a lot to remove that idea of having it to be a certain way. That’s why I’m sharing these lessons with you. Trying to give you a bigger picture.
