HARDSTYLE SCREECH STUTTER EFFECT | How to Make Hardstyle Screech Effect FL Studio Fruity Granulizer

In this lesson you’ll learn how to make a hardstyle screech stutter effect in FL Studio with Fruity Granulizer.

You may already have seen a vocal stutter effect lesson here on Screech House, but this one is a little bit different. The stutter effect now actually applies to a hardstyle screech. Also, a different method is being applied here by using the the Fuity Granulizer plugin.

Fruity Granulizer is cool

The Fruity Granulizer is a very cool FL Studio plugin that allows you to create all kinds of sample-based stutter effects. Based on personal taste and some experimentation, you can make any effect you want with it.

The Fruity Granulizer mostly manipulates the timing settings of a sample to create stutters and stretches. With this tool you can create cool tweaks and effects in your songs. And no need for expensive third-party plugins. It’s an FL Studio stock VST.

Before we can make a hardstyle screech stutter effect, we need to have a screech sample. It’s important that we use a SAMPLE here, because the Fruity Granulizer works with samples. That’s why we’re simply using a hardstyle screech from my free Hardstyle Sample Pack.

How to make a hardstyle screech stutter effect

To make a hardstyle screech stutter effect, open a new FL Studio project and load the screech sample into the Fruity Granulizer. Just add the Fruity Granulizer as a plugin and load the screech sample.

Now the only thing you have to do is: play around with all the settings. There’s no right or wrong here. Simply make changes and listen to how this changes the hardstyle screech.

To make a hardstyle screech stutter effect, close the “ATTACK” knob, pick a short “HOLD” value, and then play with the spacing options. Personally, I really like it when the panning effect is used over the stutter effect. The stutter then bounces between the left and right speaker.

You have to play around with it a bit to get a feel for it. Just tweak all the knobs until you got something that fits your screech or creates the effect you want.

TIP: The Fruity Granulizer is also very cool to use for kick effects. Just load your (hardstyle) kick into it and play around.

Next level Fruity Granulizer application

Another thing you may want to do is: create automation clips of the knobs on the Fruity Granulizer. This creates changes in the granulizer’s settings over time. It produces movements which gives extra epic effects. It simulates you tweaking the knobs in real time, but then applied in your song.

Anyways, this is the Fruity Granulizer. It’s great for creating a hardstyle screech stutter effect, but also many other time stretching effects.
