This License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs all digital products sold by Screech House (“we”, “us”, “our”), including musical content (such as MIDI files and related compositions), sample packs, and project files.
By purchasing, downloading, or using any product, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Company information
Screech House is operated by independent creators. Payments and tax handling are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record.
This Agreement applies to all purchases made through the official Screech House website and authorized distribution channels.
2. General terms
- All products are licensed, not sold.
- No ownership or copyright is transferred.
- All rights not expressly granted remain with Screech House.
- Each license is non-exclusive and non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
- In case of conflict, the specific license tier terms override general terms.
License tiers (Basic, Commercial, Premium) apply to musical content. Sample packs and DAW project files are governed by their own specific terms as outlined below.

4. Musical content license
Applies to all musical content sold by Screech House, including MIDI files and related compositions.
Users may modify, edit, and adapt the licensed musical content to create original compositions, subject to the restrictions of their license tier.
Users may retain ownership of their resulting musical works; however, usage rights including release, distribution, and monetization depend on the selected license. The MIDI files and underlying composition remain the property of Screech House.
4.1 Basic license
Permitted:
- Personal practice and learning
- Non-commercial demos and private projects
Not permitted:
- Any commercial use
- Streaming releases or monetized content
- Client work and ghost production, including delivery of finished musical works to clients
- Resale or redistribution of musical content
- Sharing or distributing musical content as standalone files, or any substantially similar version, whether modified or not, including reproduction or reconstruction intended to replicate the original composition
- Claiming ownership of the original musical composition
- Distribution or public release of finished tracks for profit
- Use of the musical content in datasets or for training machine learning or AI models
4.2 Commercial license
Permitted:
- Commercial music releases (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)
- Monetized content (YouTube, social media, etc.)
- Label releases
- Client work and ghost production, including delivery of finished musical works to clients
Not permitted:
- Resale or redistribution of musical content
- Sharing or distributing musical content as standalone files, or any substantially similar version, whether modified or not, including reproduction or reconstruction intended to replicate the original composition
- Claiming ownership of the original musical composition
- Use in advertising, film, television, trailers, broadcast, or video games
- Use of the musical content in datasets or for training machine learning or AI models
4.3 Premium license
Includes all Commercial rights, plus:
Permitted:
- Advertising (online and offline)
- Film, television, trailers, and broadcast use
- Video games and interactive media
- Unlimited commercial use of finished tracks
- Client work and ghost production, including delivery and commercial exploitation of finished musical works
Not permitted:
- Resale or redistribution of musical content
- Sharing or distributing musical content as standalone files, or any substantially similar version, whether modified or not, including reproduction or reconstruction intended to replicate the original composition
- Claiming ownership of the original musical composition
- Use of the musical content in datasets or for training machine learning or AI models
5. Sample pack license
Applies to all sample packs sold by Screech House, including drum kits, loops, and one-shots.
Permitted:
- Use in musical compositions (commercial or non-commercial)
- Audio manipulation and processing within your projects
Not permitted:
- Resale or redistribution of samples (original or modified)
- Uploading samples to sample packs, libraries, or marketplaces
- Sharing samples as standalone files or any substantially similar version, including reproduction or reconstruction intended to replicate the original samples
- Claiming ownership of original samples
- Use of samples in datasets or for training machine learning or AI models
6. DAW project file license
Applies to all DAW project files and templates sold by Screech House.
Permitted:
- Use for learning and music production
- Exporting finished tracks for commercial release
Not permitted:
- Resale or redistribution of project files or templates
- Sharing project files or reconstructed versions intended to replicate the original project structure or arrangement
- Uploading projects to marketplaces or template sites
- Claiming authorship of original project structure or arrangement
- Use of project files in datasets or for training machine learning or AI models
7. Royalty-free terms
Where applicable (Commercial and Premium musical content licenses):
- Screech House does not claim any royalties, publishing rights, performance rights, or neighboring rights in finished works created under applicable licenses.
- You keep 100% of revenue from finished works
- No reporting or accounting obligations apply
This applies only to legally purchased products from Screech House.
8. Credit
Credit is not required for any product unless explicitly stated.
Credit to Screech House is appreciated but optional.
9. Refunds
All digital sales are final.
No refunds, returns, or exchanges are provided once files are delivered, except where required by applicable law.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screech House is not liable for:
- Any damages arising from use of products
- Copyright claims resulting from misuse or improper licensing
- Loss of income or business opportunities
- Software or hardware compatibility issues
Users are solely responsible for ensuring proper use under the correct license.
11. No warranty
All products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or commercial success.
12. Termination
Any violation of this Agreement results in immediate termination of the license without notice or refund.
Upon termination, all copies of the products must be permanently deleted.
13. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
