HOW TO MAKE HARDSTYLE SCREECH | Hardstyle Screech Tutorial in FL Studio | Massive Hardstyle Screech

In this lesson you’ll learn how to make a hardstyle in FL Studio with Massive. This hardstyle screech tutorial shows you the entire process of building a screech from start to finish.

I definitely encourage you to watch the whole video, but let me also share a “secret” here that can help you get a better understanding of making unique hardstyle screeches.

How to make a unique hardstyle screech

As you might know by now, hardstyle screeches can use quite some distortion. This helps to get a full and aggressive sound. But I found that lower pitched sounds (lower octave) get a more unique character when they get distorted.

It’s like the distorted lower “harmonics” in a heavier sound, create a different “timbre” in the mid and upper harmonics. The mid and upper harmonics get added or shaped a certain way that makes the entire sound more unique.

But when you distort a high pitched sound (higher octave), the additive “timbre” isn’t that audible. All distorted high pitched sounds, sound very similar. There’s not much uniqueness.

So, if you want screeches to be more unique, experiment with slightly lower types of sounds and different distortion settings. This is also what I did in this video lesson.

The hardstyle screech is a free download

Officially, the hardstyle screech in this video is a free download. Later I decided to include many of my screeches in a Hardstyle Sample Pack and share it for free.
