Extremely Annoying HIGH Pitch Sound to TEST Your Ears (Ringing 15000 Hz & 16000 Hz Frequency)

Here’s an extremely annoying high pitch sound to test your ears and discover your hearing age.

Human hearing range

On average, humans can hear frequencies from 20 Hz all the way up to 20,000 Hz. But as we age, it gets more and more difficult to hear high-frequency sounds.

Young people simply have more microscopic hairs in their ears than old people. Old people have more wear and tear because you know, life happens.

Super high pitch sound

Fun fact: cats and dogs can hear frequencies up to 45,000 to 79,000 Hz. That’s more than twice as much as humans. Imagine all the sounds they can hear that are hidden from us.

High frequency hearing

But how do you know you have to worry about your hearing?

Well, if you make music or design sounds, hearing is crucial. You don’t want to end up with a sloppy mix. But most of you don’t have to stress over that. This has more to do with your skills than your ears.

Hearing age

But to know your hearing age, let’s run a quick test. I will play a 12,000, 15,000 and 16,000 Hz sound. People under 40 should be able to hear the 15,000 Hz frequency. And the 16,000 Hz frequency is reserved for people under 30.

If you can hear these frequencies, your ears are still in great shape. But if you can’t, you may have partied too much. Clearly, I’m no doctor, so visit one if you’re concerned.

Anyhow, go sit in a quiet place and put on your headphones. Watch the video and let the test begin.

Comment below: could you still hear that? And what’s your age? Let’s see who wins the wasted-weekend-warrior award.

High pitch ringing

I think I have to visit my doctor soon. I got a high-pitched ringing in my ears. Don’t forget to subscribe, and please be nice to your lugholes.

⚠ ATTENTION! ⚠

The 16,000 Hz sound is not correct. YouTube’s compression has down-pitched the tone.
The 15,000 & 12,000 Hz sounds are still good though.

My apologies! Keeping the video up. Comment when your hearing age is 40+
